STL Warranty AKA (856) 295-5565

I have always been on the national "Do Not Call" list for ALL of my phones (since 2009, and I re-signed up for it last week even though I don't need to).  We have one technical credit card, still.  It is a Military Star card.  We are current on our mortgage, Military Star card, and other household bills.  There is no reason for anyone to be calling us about bills or anything else.  We always pay our bills with money orders and do NOT attach anything to our bank accounts, as we had problems in the past with people taking out money they weren't owed yet.

Thus, there is absolutely no reason for anyone of an unknown company or "bill" to be calling us.  We never fill out any mini-forms in malls or tell people they can forwards our information.  When we are asked at stores for our phone number, we give them 123-456-7890 as our number.  We do not share our personal information, and never have.  We tend to be over-cautious, and some people find that a little odd...until...you see why we do it.

I have been receiving calls from (856) 295-5565 since December 22nd, 2014.  I assumed it was the doctor or hospital trying to contact me, but didn't answer as they didn't leave a message.  (Even my answering machine doesn't say our names or personal information on it.)

Here is my call log on JUST my phone (They also call my unused Comcast house phone AND my husband's cellphone.  We don't even have a phone to answer the Comcast calls, but it pops up on my TV screen):

Dec 22, 2014 -
9:15 am   Missed call
9:16 am   Missed call
1:23 am   Hang up call (rang for 4 rings, then they hung up)

No messages left.

Dec 23, 2014 -

8:14 am    It's too early to be getting calls, and cancel the call without answering.

Dec 29, 2014 -

11:20 am  I accidentally answer this call.  Thought it was my kidlets' school.  Was not, and this woman knows my first and last name (how??).  She asks if I am interested in lowering my car insurance rates.  I am not, as we have USAA insurance (which they apparently don't seem to know)...and it is at rock bottom prices for military service members/long standing customers.  I try to tell her to stop calling me, that I am on the DNC list and not interested, but she claims she "cannot hear me"...even though I can hear myself in her speakers.  I hang up, after getting really frustrated.  The calls lasts a total of 3 minutes.

Dec 30, 2014 -

2:08 pm  Missed call

I am actually getting aggravated by their calls now and start looking into who they are.

Dec 31, 2014 -

7:35 am   Missed call
1:41 pm  I cancel the phone call and don't even bother to pick up.  This sends them to voicemail, again.

I block their number via my IPhone and the online phone company website.

From here on out, these are calls that are automatically cancelled and not technically received.  They still show up on my phone as "missed calls", which is annoying.  I also get to hear my phone ringing, which is super irritating and no - I can't make it stop, even if I am auto-blocking their calls.

Jan 7, 2015 -

4:25 pm    Cancelled call.  Seems like they are trying to reach me at different times now, to see if I will answer.  Obviously, this isn't going to work.

Jan 8th, 2015 -

9:48 am   Cancelled call.
5:01 pm   Cancelled call.  Why is this call center even open at this time?

Jan 12, 2015 -

1:14 pm   Cancelled call.

Jan 13th, 2015 -

9:07 am  Cancelled call.  It's my son's birthday.  No way I am letting these people ruin it.

In the past 22 days, I have received 13 calls on JUST my cellphone and these are just the ones I have been keeping track of.  They don't seem to call on weekends, which provides some sort of relief.  They also didn't call on the actual holidays.  Phew.

We have not signed up for anything new in the past 3 months.  We have not asked for information on car insurance OR life insurance quotes.  We are simply NOT interested.

If you do a quick google search of their number, you will see that this is an old company that was "revamped" into a new one.  Apparently, they were closed down under a different name and re-opened under the STL Warranty company name.  They have been harassing people for years, and even with numerous reports to the FCC...they are still operating.  I have reported them myself, and they continue to call me.

There is little for me to do, at this point.  I have blocked their numbers on our cellphones.  I have yet to do it for our comcast number (I don't even use this number, so whatever).  I am hoping they get the non-subtle hint to stop calling.  I have already told the woman to stop calling, etc, but that just made them start calling more...so.....I'd suggest just don't answer their phone calls, or they will consider it a "contact made" (aka we got this person on the phone, time for the hard sell!!).

Update 1/29/2015:

Still receiving these phone calls. Not happy about it.  Here is more of my list.

January 20th, 2015 -

11:02 am Missed/Blocked call

The last call I received was on January 20th, and I think they are FINALLY done harassing us.  My Comcast phone number STILL receives calls from them, but...like I said...it pops up on my TV that they called and that's that.  We don't answer it (nor can we).  My husband received HIS final call January 23rd.  So far, everything is all quiet.  Phew.  Glad it's mostly over.
